Hebei Intelligent Manufacturing Sails to the World - Hebei Daily

Dec 07,2011

In the early years of China's accession to the WTO in 2001, the total import and export value of foreign trade in our province was only 5.738 billion US dollars; In 2004, this indicator broke through the billion dollar mark for the first time; Three years later, the import and export scale will climb to 20 billion US dollars; It took only one year to break through 30 billion US dollars. During this period, although the international financial crisis temporarily halted the growth process, our province's foreign trade quickly recovered after the crisis. From January to October this year, the total import and export value of foreign trade in the province has exceeded 40 billion US dollars, and is expected to reach 50 billion US dollars for the whole year, setting a new historical high.
This growth is not just the accumulation of quantity, but also a leap in quality.
Experiencing and growing amidst the sudden changes in the world trade situation
The sluggish external demand caused by the international financial crisis, the trade risks caused by the turbulent foreign political situation, and the impact of anti-dumping and other litigation cases... In the ten years since joining the WTO, our province's export enterprises have faced major challenges time and time again, falling down and getting back up, and have been tempered in the sudden changes of the world trade situation.
In 2001, the first year of China's accession to the WTO, Boshen Tools Co., Ltd., which had obtained the qualification for self operated foreign trade import and export, gained wings and rapidly expanded its products to Europe and Southeast Asia with its third-generation laser welding technology. But what caught Chairman Chen Huairong off guard was the sudden anti-dumping lawsuit that followed.
Setbacks are the best nourishment for growth. In recent years, Boshen Tools has established an effective anti-dumping warning and rapid response mechanism, adjusted the company's product structure, and developed a large number of non involved products. Since 2010, they have also established subsidiaries in Brazil, Canada, Thailand and other places to build overseas diamond saw blade production bases and avoid anti-dumping measures. In recent years, Boshen Tools has maintained an annual growth rate of 30%. Last year, they achieved exports of 180 million yuan, ranking among the top domestic peers in terms of export volume. In the United States, Boshen's marketing network has covered 30 states; In Europe, Boshen has developed over 50 loyal and stable customers in more than 20 countries; In Southeast Asia, Boshen's "BOSUN" brand has been leading the industry for several consecutive years.
